Me

 My name is Giovanni Vidotto.  I live in the Canadian Okanagan – a beautiful valley lying at the northern tip of a western desert in British Columbia.

I’ve been a therapist, educator and consultant for 30+ years and am currently working as a group therapist in a residential treatment centre.

The stories that have been entrusted to me over the years have touched me profoundly.  They’ve taught me that greatness lies not in the spectacular deeds of the mighty but in the courage of the ordinary person living everyday life.

My special interest is in learning about the extraordinary lives of people, and the eras in which they’ve lived, through diaries, letters and personal papers.  I’ve kept a journal, in one form or another, through the various stages of my life, and have found them simultaneously amusing, poignant, nostalgic, funny and instructive.
